Welcome to the MYRec Soccer 2023 season! We are all pumped and ready to be back on the field kicking off another amazing season! Our team has been working very hard behind the scenes and getting things ready to make this the best soccer experience for you all!
Here are important details for the upcoming season:
We are introducing a WhatsApp community group for all parents and players to join in order to convey critical information throughout the season such as rain outs or any other announcements. CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE GROUP
In addition to the WhatsApp group, the league will also be sending email communication for league updates.
Our tool for team level communication, snacks schedules, game scores and stats, and league schedule will be the TeamLinkt App. Once you are added to a team, you’ll be notified via email and prompted to download the App where you will be able to see your updated team schedule and more information.
MYRecSL2023 Opening Ceremony: Saturday May 27th from 11:00am to 12:30pm
The MYRec Soccer 2023 Opening Ceremony will mark the start of the season with an opportunity to meet the MYRec leadership team, coaches and teammates, collect your jerseys and socks, take team photos and learn more about the details of the soccer season. There will be NO GAMES played on that day. Details regarding the ceremony will be announced shortly.
League Game Schedule:
June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
July 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
Aug 12th, 19th
Sept 9th & 10th (Playoffs & Finals)
*Sept 16th & 17th (rainout buffer weeks)
*Tentative mid season tournament date is July 15th
**Sept 16th & 17th are only buffer make up weeks in the case of rainouts throughout the season. There will be no refunds if there is a cancellation of soccer due to weather or field conditions that were not able to be made up.
All games will be played at Clarke Neighbourhood Park, North and South Fields (1170 Laurier Ave, Milton)
Updated Division Timings & Fields:
Co-Ed 4-5 – 9:30am to 11:00am (South 1)
Co-Ed 6-7 – 9:30am to 11:00am or 11:00am to 12:30pm (South 1)
Boys 9-10 – 9:30am to 11:00am (South 2 & 3)
Boys 11-12 – 9:30am to 11:00am (North 1 & 2)
Girls 9-11 – 11:00am to 12:30pm (South 2 & 3)
Boys 13-14 – 11:00am to 12:30pm (North 1 & 2)
Co-Ed 8 – 12:30pm to 2:00pm (South 2 & 3)
Girls 12-16 – 12:30pm to 2:00pm (South 2 & 3)
Boys 15-18 – 12:30pm to 2:00pm (North 1 & 2)
*C6-7 division games will now be either 9:30am to 11:00am or 11:00am to 12:30pm. There will be no double headers on the same day but that the schedule each week may be at either of the timings above. The TeamLinkt app and website will have the entire schedule available in advance of the season for you to plan accordingly.
Snacks are an important part of the league as it encourages sharing and helps players stay hydrated and refreshed. Each player will be responsible to bring snacks and beverages for their teams at least once during the season. Snacks are served at halftime during the games. We request a parent from each team to step up and manage the snack schedule for the coaches so that they can focus on the players. The team group chat in the TeamLinkt app will be used to coordinate the snacks schedule. Please keep the snacks healthy, zabihah/halal and NUT FREE. Here are some examples. Snacks: Watermelon, Oranges, Strawberries, Granola Bars, Fruit bars, Veggies, etc. Beverages: Juice boxes, Sports Drinks, Kool Aid etc. Please avoid sodas.
Soccer Cleats and Shin Guards:
If you haven't purchased them yet, they are on clearance at most stores that carry sports equipment (Canadian Tire, Walmart, National Sports, Sport Chek etc). Safety is a priority and it is mandatory to participate in game for all divisions. Failure to bring them will disqualify the player from playing the game (they can participate in warmup/practice only). Players are not allowed to wear hats or jewelry during games.
Rain or Shine:
Like all soccer leagues, we play in rain so dress accordingly. However, if there is a storm that the league management determines is unsafe for players to play, games will be cancelled. You will receive a message in the WhatsApp group, as well as messages in your App and emails from the league notifying you 30 minutes prior to your start time. If you don't receive a message or email, it means that games are ON!
Please note that players are required to wear their jerseys, shin guards, cleats and socks for their games. You were required to enter the jersey size on the registration form and we will be ordering that size (or one size above based on availability). Any replacement jerseys throughout the season will cost an additional $50.
Our planning and preparation has already begun and we have closed registration for new players. Please note that there are no refunds for cancellations anymore.
– Cancel before or on April 16th – 75% refund / 25% admin fee
– Cancel before or on April 30th – 50% refund / 50% admin fee
– Cancel after May 1st – No refunds

It is important to remember that every single person taking part in making this an amazing season for your kids is a volunteer. They are doing this solely for the sake of our community and deserve respect, gratitude and appreciation. You are welcome to discuss your concerns with them respectfully and privately. Any act of disrespect, bullying or violence will not be tolerated. Please review the MYRec Soccer Code of Conduct on our Soccer site.
